The bad thing about this dust-up is the circular firing squad could dampen enthusiasm. I am hopeful that the Republicans will be smart enough to just shut up at this point (our little debates here at FR notwithstanding.) But I am fearful that Akin has opened a can of worms that will take on a life of its own. I am pretty sure everybody here at FR is rooting for him to win despite this kerfuffle...
