Yeah, the fact that he's held public office and has a conservative voting history had nothing whatsoever to do with people choosing him over the other two. It was all Democrat strategery that got him the win.

Unless you have exit polling that shows that those ads influenced the decision of voters then you have no way of knowing for a fact that your assumption is correct.
You've concluded it's the correct outcome based on your view or outlook of the situation.

Are there exit polls where voters were asked if the ads influenced their vote?
If you offer evidence of that nature then I would concede the point.
