But, many Missourians are ashamed of Clair McCaskill and her voting record as well. Don’t forget, Akin was up like 11 points before this debacle occurred. If half of those change their mind within 73 days or when they walk into the privacy of the voting booth, and go ahead and vote for Akin, we could have a race here. I remember Michael Dukakis was up 17 points at one time, against George H. W. in 1988. Carter was up on Reagan by double digits just days before the Election in 1980. Things can change overnight. Most Missourians are very conservative.

Ain’t gonna happen. You probably haven’t seen local TV here, but it isn’t helping Akin. You view of Missouri is also mistaken. McCain barely won the state in 2008. St. Louis, Kansas City, and Columbia are solid blue. The rest of the state is red, but that makes it 50-50. Not only will Akin lose, but Obama could now win. Unbelievable.
