I'm not sure how many people reject whatever it is that he "stands for" or "votes for," so I couldn't say that it is "far worse." It might be - if the rejection is ultimately Christ's gift of salvation - but I'm not sensing that to be what Todd Akin's supporters are fixated on.
He may be the right guy for his congressional district, but senate-level Matthew 10:16 he's not. I personally don't think his candidacy - which I am not saying is his "cause" - is as important as he, Mike Huckabee and a number of people who apparently automatically trust clerics of their own creed think it is.
