This is ridiculous. Before Hannity said anything, before Coulter said anything, before any of the GOPe said anything, the hue and cry from many Republicans was “please drop out, Akin.”
And as “red” as Missouri is, it’s only 40% Republican. Last time I checked, 40% doesn’t win many elections. This isn’t Republicans’ fail. It’s Akin’s.
The only thing that might cause Akin to fail is if the GOPe doesn’t get out of his way.
