As the controversy over Republican Senate candidate Todd Akins legitimate rape comment continues, Mitt Romneys lead in Missouri has vanished.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Missouri Voters finds President Obama with 47% support to Romneys 46%. Three percent (3%) favor some other candidate in the race, and three percent (3%) more are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Obama has about as much chance of winning Missouri as a cow flying.
Are republicans going to vote for Obama now. And I predict that Akin will call it quits next week.
I will vote for him. But I am in the minority and given Missouri’s past swings in elections, it will be a ‘miracle’ to beat Clarie.... NOT that I do not believe in ‘miracles’, I also know that IF God did not send the person claiming such they are going to have rotten egg all over their face. I have not yet heard what God intends in regards to this ‘race’, I may have to wait until election night.
I did not see this coming, so might say I am in ‘shock’ because I ‘believed’ Claire was going to get sent back to administering ‘pills instead of procedures’ for her nursing home residents.
It was originally called for obama and McCain only won by a few thousand votes.
So there should be no problem for Romney winning. MO should be a cakewalk.
Should be a cakewalk, but isn’t now because of Akin...
So, you believe it’s ok if missourians switch their vote to a pro-murder, anti 2nd amendment, amnesty-loving, socialist like McCaskill because of one dumb comment by her opponent? Because that’s all my comment was about....how a rational person could flip in their convictions based on his comment. Who is it that needs to register at DU?
Regretfully, I agree.
Well unless a half-million unemployed people go to work before the election I see no way the anti-Christian teleprompter in chief will win in Missouri. I still say Romney wins the general election in a landslide. If the polls are anywhere near being tied on election day Obama is history.
Thanks a lot, Akin. You just re-elected Obama!
Well, I’ll say this, JMT. If America needs anything at all, it is a mircale from the Lord, Jesus Christ.
We are up against, true and pure Evil. An enemy that never rests, never stops planning, never stops plotting, never stops organzing.
All it wants to do is eat our freedom in order to feed its lust for power. This Evil is led by a husk of a man who fills himself with whatever you want him to be, whatever it is that will make you trust him, but in the end, he will be none of those things, because all he is is lies, and he will consume those foolish enough to have believed in him.
He is the Devil. Lucifer. He is him.
Very few on our side can see him for what he is. Our side is weak, naive, many are clueless. But, that being said, they are also good, innocent, and they do not deserve the fate that awaits them, whether they are aware of it or not.
A miracle is what we need, on all fronts. We must win on all fronts, we must run the table and we are 8 balls down, or this game is over.
God Help us.
“The only people attacking Akin are Republicans we eat our own.”
yeppers....roger that!
“That said, hard to believe MO voters are this stupid.”
well duh? read my tagline...big bad Ben told us alongggg time ago.
This is precisely why I wish that Rep. Akin would heed the urgings of others, and exit this Senate race--immediately, if not sooner...
This idiot is killing the GOP everywhere. What a pig.
The RNC should start running the interview McCaskill gave a few months ago to the Daily Caller or Fox where she told the interviewer that “oh yes indeedy the Senate had passed a budget for the last 3 years.” She said it multiple times in a response to the question of why was the Democrat-run Senate refusing to pass a budget. I was astonished when I saw the interview on FNC earlier this summer. She’s absolutely brain damaged, and the GOP needs to locate that interview and start running it over and over.
“I would have felt the same way.”
Therein lies the entire problem. With Akin it’s all about feelings. With you it’s all about feelings. There are no feelings in politics. We need to WIN. Period.
Loyalty begets loyalty. If you treat good and honorable men that way, you will no longer be a viable party. Akin deserved much better and his treatment pissed off a lot of Reps in MO and nationally.
Satan hates the body, the very Image of the Creator. As that is no longer his. He thus:
Steals, Covets, Covets-User, and destroyer of the body. He is out to degrade the Image in any way possible also.
Extortion-Care, and any so called “replacement” is to covet, and steal the energy from the Image of Him.
ARE people REALLY dumb enough to have previously intended to vote for Romney and are now voting for Obama due to an idiotic statement made by another person about HIS own beliefs?
How about voting AGAINST Obama for all the things HE HAS DONE to damage this country?
this blows my mind.
I also think it is BULL!
