Many women receive abortions that have used the pill, their partner, condoms, or other devices. Are you saying you are against them having abortions too, but for the woman who has been raped?

I do not want any government entity telling me I have to pay for abortion. That also means some 'compassionate' governor of a state mandating insurance cover abortion.

I am not sure where you got this notion that I support abortions for rape victims. Rape is a violent act. For a female victim of rape that results in pregnancy should be 'her' decision. And I am not convinced that a 12 year old rape victim could medically speaking, carry to term and birth a child without her 'health' being endangered.

No I am not a doctor, but, I do try and use common sense.

If it's "her" decision, doesn't that make you pro-"choice" in cases of rape?

No woman in history has ever carried a baby to term without her "health" being endangered.

FWIW Mary was probably 12 or 13 when she carried Jesus to term.

Common sense would say that a rape exception is unnecessary for minors under the age consent. One of the main purposes of statutory rape and age of consent laws is to prevent pregnancy in minors who are too physically immature to give birth safely.

So all pregnancies resulting from statutory rape whether assault or consensual would (or could) be covered by statute by a health exception, making a rape exception redundant.

The pregnant twelve year old rape victim example is a straw man argument and does nothing to support the argument that a rape exception is necessary to protect the “chilrun”.
