This wasn’t just a gaffe. There’s no way one could make such an asinine statement on accident. Defending someone with this kind of idiotic thinking is no better than being a Dimocrat.

He didn't “misspeak.”
Akin truly believed there is some magic button a rape victim can push to avoid pregnancy.

If he wanted to defend a child's right to life under these circumstances he should have said so. Instead, he blubbered up a bizarre theory that was at once insulting and without scientific backing.
