Umm, yeah... it's getting to be that way.
It's a shame. Akin has an EXCELLENT record. I really believe in all that he stands for. Problem is, he's become politically toxic.
He's sort of like the Vietnam War.
We were winning the war
But we lost it politically.
That's where we are with Akin.
Unfortunately, the enemy is not on the other side of the world this time. The commies are in our own country and they are bringing us down. So, withdrawal is not an option and neither is defeat.
We need to sacrifice Akin for someone who can win it for us.
That's my opinion. Ultimately it's up to the people of Missouri.
In Post 416 you say, “We need to sacrifice Akin for someone who can win it for us.” No one can “sacrifice” Akin. He, and only HE can petition the courts to remove his name from the ballot. And he will not do so, IMO. He just won’t. What he “should do” and what he will do are polar opposites...
