I'm just not seeing Isaac turning into a hurricane if it hits Florida. Right now the system, although large, is highly disorganized. Friday, if it stays on track, it will go over the mountains of Haiti which disorganizes it even more then the next day it goes over almost the entire length of Cuba (if the models hold up) which weakens it much further. After that, it just doesn't have the time to gain much strength over the Gulf of Mexico.
My guess it will be mostly dissipated before Isaac hits Florida. And when it hits, just a lot of rainy weather with not great wind strength.

The gulf water is very warm right now, if it stalls or significantly slows............Who knows.
The old Cajun is watching weather sites pretty regular right now :)

That is exactly what our weather guys have been saying. ON this track, they said most storms are just torn apart when going over both mountain areas. We’ll see. All I want to know is ...will I be in some kind of error cone on the east coast so I can at least get one day off from work. :)
