Oaklands long-running fight with the federal courts over its Police Department has taken a bizarre turn: The city administrator says the monitor who was sent to the East Bay to evaluate the cops tried to hit on her.
Sources tell us the city alerted the federal judge who has ordered police reforms that the city is investigating the matter. They say his monitor, Robert Warshaw a former police chief and antidrug official in the Clinton administration made remarks in private conversations with City Administrator Deanna Santana that she took as inappropriate.
In one case, Warshaw allegedly took the married mother of twos hand and told her she looked stunning.
The matter is now being looked at by an independent investigator brought in by the city.
Warshaw also allegedly used abusive language when talking to Santana about Police Chief Howard Jordan, the city says.
The incidents date back to May, said the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because U.S. District Judge Thelton Henderson who sent Warshaw to Oakland has sealed the details of the citys heads up.

OMG!
If he were a female friend of Napolitano behaving like this he could get a senior post in the Department of Homeland Security!
Flog him, then send him to San Quentin for 50,000 years!!!/s;)
Stunning!
As in "Taser." One look at that makes you want to flop around on the floor screaming in agony.
“She had that
Camarillo brillo
Flamin out along her head,
I mean her mendocino bean-o
By where some bugs had made it red...”
[ok...the red is poetic license...its lyrics...what can i say?]
If a bear ate Oakland and sh!t it out in the woods, would anyone notice?
A city administrator making such claims about a private conversation with someone sent to investigate wrongdoing in another department of that same city sounds awfully convenient.
I thought you just posted that pic as a joke, until I went to the article and found that is really a pic of her!
If the guy said that about her, he is either blind or his judgement is questionable! She makes Monica look like a super model in comparison.
Sh!t = shat. Geez, where’s my grammar?
Stunning!
That “thing” is so ugly that she would turn milk sour!
Zappa orientated ping
Oh? Come in the bus, huh? .......three unreleased recordings of Crosby, Stills and Nash fighting in their dressing room......
“official in the Clinton administration”
Yep, that explains a lot.
nice teeth! My horse might find her to be stunning, but looking at her I find just plain old stunned.
Or she made the allegation knowing full well and good that it would stop the investigation in its tracks, giving Oakland time to cover their tracks?
PC run amok.
