A FReeper said there was a sore loser law in MO, and a failed candidate could not then run as an independent. I don’t know if that is true or not.

Steelman is a homewrecker, we need to be better than that

Akin should step aside, otherwise Steelman should run 3rd party, which she would support. A Steelman third-party run would absolutely guarantee a McCaskill victory. Dumb idea.
To: Hugin
This is just like the last governor race in Colorado.
This is why we have a democrat Hickenlooper.
You want a Hickenlooper? Do yah!
To: Psalm 144
Yes, the sore loser law is real. Steelmam can not run as an independent or write in. If a voter writes in her name it will not be counted. Shame on Palin for not checking the law before entering the fray!

I can’t tell if that is a threat or a proposition...

McCaskill is probably already guareenteed to win against Akin alone!

That is what I was afraid of. She cannot afford to make that kind of gaffe.

If I lived in MO and the only candidates available were Akin and the Democrat, I would write in Mickey Mouse.

There are 6,010,688 people in MO. There aren't qualified folks to step up and run?
I just shake my head at the thought of that.

Sarah appeared very angry in this interview and I’m sure there is a silver lining in that with her frustration with other forces....ie the GOPE
To: PoplarBluffian
I figure Palin knows it. She was giving props to Steelman to keep her name in major contention for being chosen as a replacement if Akin does indeed step down before Sept 25.

McCaskill is going to win anyway at this point. After thinking it over I’m leaning toward a third party run as a way for the GOP to distance themselves from Akin and save the rest of the ticket.
To: Charles Henrickson
You are right. Unless Akin withdraws, we are stuck with him. We supported Brunner but at the last minute I switched to Steelman, but either one would be preferable to Akin. What idiotic thing will he say next?
To: Charles Henrickson
And do you think Akin can defeat McCaskill with his sudden baggage?

Plenty of unqualified FReepers, apparently.
