I heard Rush saying something recently about an idea someone had given him. He said it would be a very good idea for Paul Ryan to show up everywhere Obama was speaking, just afterward, to refute everything Obama had said, especially about Medicare. I suspect the Obama team thought this was a good idea and decided to start at the convention. Unfortunately, they sent Biden, who seems to help the Republicans more than anything.

I think that there's a better variation on that. Have Ryan sandbag Biden during one of his press availabilities in Tampa. Ryan just shows up and politely challenges Biden to an on-the-spot public debate. Just like Nixon (when he was VP) and Khrushchev.
