I don’t get this. Why can’t the republican party of Missouri just dump him? He is not the party, he is its representative.

He won the primary. The only way to get him off the ticket is if he voluntarily withdraws.

The only way to get him out would be to run a good candidate on a third party ticket or a write-in campaign, but that would just guaranty McGaskill the seat.
