Gallup sucks; and Reagan, who anyone would admit was more conservative than is Romney, got 39% vs Carter. It’s very unlikely that today’s Jewish voters are less liberal, so Romney probably has a shot at Reagan’s numbers in this category. Its very unlikely that todays Jewish voters are less liberal, so Romney probably has a shot at Reagans numbers in this category. It is true that they gave Reagan, 39% in 1980 against Carter, but by 1984, that had dropped to 31%, as the rest of the nation gave Reagan a landslide.
Obama could drop below 70%.
