Akin said that his supporters and “good friends, closer than brothers,” had asked him to stick it out.

The controversy has become a distraction to Republican leaders as they prepare for their Tampa convention next week and finalize the party’s platform, which will include language supporting a ban on abortion except when the mother’s life is in danger.
Evidently Akin has friends, family, and supporters who realize the importance of ALL life, born, unborn, and those conceived by rape. I applaud Todd Akin greatly. Those that have turned on him should ask themselves why. The words "legitimate" and "rape" were used forty years and 50,000,000+ baby deaths ago. The devil should not be allowed to trick us again. You go, Todd!

[P.S. Any way we can get Santorum on the ticket .. with Ryan?] :)

Why diss Akin?

BECAUSE WE WANT TO WIN.

That’s all that matters....winning.

That’s not likely now.

Not unless the manager sends to the bullpen for reliever. Your starter just got shelled in the top of the first.
