It's tough when you have such fierce competition for stupidest clause in what Akin said, but I agree that in the long term this will end up being the most damaging part of what Akin said - it wasn't the result of poor word choice or a single slip; it fits all too easily in the meme of old white Republican men not understanding female reproductive functions.
(That's 'cause she's a modified guy)
The piece of stupidity that had the country in an uproar was her expressed belief that women in lawschool needed $3,000 a year to purchase birth control.
Of course we laughed at her and finally the Democrats figured out just about everybody who heard her thought she was stupid so they've more recently pulled the plug on her top end sponsorship.
But that $3,000 would provide sufficient condoms to keep those girls busy several times a day ~ for hours on end! Or, that'd be several lifetimes worth of birth control pills.
Limbaugh simply took the wrong tack ~ but she was S T U P I D.
What we have here is another one of those bits of apparent discontinuity with reality that suggests stupidity.
Sometimes it only takes one time ~ "I was brainwashed" ~ to get yourself booted.
