The guy is a good guitar player but as a marketing guy he sucks big time. He just pissed away a whole consumer segment of the buying public which is very large part made up of Republicans and Conservatives who, are avid music fans, would actually spend their hard earned money on buying Cd's, DvD’s, and downloading Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, or Nightwatchmen tunes, etc...(bands he works with).

He is shooting for the OWS’er crowd thinking they are bigger set of fans but what he forgets is the OWS’ers don't have any cash and if they wanted some his tunes they would be the first ones pirating downloads or getting pirated Cd's with none of the royalties or proceeds going to him and his bands.

Plus he is truly clueless when it comes to governing ideology because B.O. is now The Man who wants to really take away freedoms and redistribute Tom's and his band members as well as our-The-People's-Hard-Earned wealth at gun point and it is the commies who enslave their populations at gunpoint.
