He just admitted to statutory rape and he won't be charged? Uh... You might want to check that outrage because it's not even "statutory rape" in your state of Missouri since the "boy" was 17 which legal age in MO has been since at least 1995. (566.034)
Age of consent is 16 in Minnesota where this incident took place. The only "crime" here is the public nature of the act which could've amounted to misdemeanor indecent conduct. Considering the very public nature of "exposure" thanks to the lawmaker's job, where's the upside to expending resources to prosecute when you likely wouldn't usually and Gauthier is now subject to permanent, national shame?
