Your Zot cartoon is a good one Kent, but there is actually an even older use of “Zot!”

In the original Underdog cartoon series circa 1964 (with Underdog voiced by one of my all-time favorites, Wally Cox) the first season featured a four part serial entitled Zot!

Zot was both a planet inhabited by a race governed by King Klobber who either “zots” people by punching them or by dropping an enormous weight on their heads (The Great Zot.)

I have been trying, so far unsuccessfully, to find a suitable graphic that illustrates The Great Zot!

When I do, y’all will be the first to know.

So far all I've come up with is this opening credit to Part Four of Zot! It shows Sweet Polly Purebred held under the ominous presence of The Great Zot!

I remember that episode, as well. ;) I’ll keep an eye out for any likely jpegs, and (if I find any), will pass them along to you.
