I am sorry you think so..!! Jeff Head loves FR and he is a Morman.. You can't brush Mormon's with a broad brush than you can with my Southern Baptist Brethren! There are bad people of all religions. But you can't brush all mormons with the same brush! I found that out on my own..

I am a southern Baptist girl, I love the Jewish people as I know you do, but people on this site do not!!! Jim, do you think if Mitt were a Jew, he would try and tell you that Christ was only a prophet? I love Newt, but I am willing to vote for Mitt, because, he has never shown the propensity to govern due to Mormon doctrine!

I am trying to save Fr here! Yes I own Gopbriefingroom.com, but we are not an antifreep site! Mystery-ak, and I owe everything to this site, her husband and son were called to Iraq and afghan multiple times.. Yet she was banned here!! That is unbelievable!!!

YOU don't want people leaving? People who have donated for 10+ years? You need to think who are this people running your threads now? They are not really what you want, only what you think the conservatives want! Which is a lie!!! I don't know how else to try and get you to understand, that you are being used!!!

Show me where in the bible I can find references to Joseph Smith or any of his works.

And I doubt I’ve ever said anything bad about Jeff Head. He’s a good man. I just don’t agree his choice for the presidency and can’t support that choice.

Mormonism is a false doctrine. It's that simple.

There are bad people of all religions.

True, but in the case of Mormonism, its founders were bad people. Joseph Smith was a sexual predator. His victims included little girls and women who were married to other men. For years, he lied to his wife Emma about what he was doing. He could not safely continue these activities in any nineteenth century Christian community. So, he then created this new "religion" and still later had a "revelation" which purported to provide him with authority from God to continue his sexual perversions.

After Joseph died, his buddy Bringem Young (another pervert who took full advantage of Smith's revelation by "marrying" some 55 women and little girls) moved the church west to Salt Lake City to avoid prosecution.

So, given that this "religion" was concocted in order to provide moral cover for some sexual predators, why should any normal person pretend to be sincerely respectful? Why is Bringem Young due any greater respect than Warren Jeffs, a man who is currently incarcerated for engaging in the same conduct?

As a self-described conservative Southern Baptist, you should read these verses from Psalm 139:19-22:

"Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies."

I'd rather apply that verse to Muslims and liberal atheists than Mormons since they hate the Christian God explicitly and openly, but to say that "God doesn’t like hate" is not biblical.

Conservative Baptists ought to know better.

Mormon doctrine is contrary to Scripture on many points. That doesn't mean I hate Mormons, and they can be useful allies on some pro-family issues, but the bottom line is that Mormonism and traditional Christianity cannot both be true. Mormons know that, and Christians who don't are the ones who aren't listening to what Mormons believe.

That is part of what is so strange about this whole mess. If Mitt Romney had governed more like a conservative Mormon and less like Harry Reid, a lot of conservatives would have been much more willing to support him.

The Mormons need to get their act together. Just as the rise of the Kennedy dynasty empowered liberal Roman Catholics and caused major problems for a generation, a Romney presidency could easily cause serious damage for the reputation of Mormons.

The Mormons need to decide whether they want their public image to be fresh-faced young men who are dedicated to their cause and support traditional family values, or whether they want their public face to be the liberalism of Huntsman, Reid, and Romney.

That's an internal Mormon issue and I don't get a vote. But Mormons like Jeff Head ought to be thinking long and hard about whether Romney is going to do serious long-term damage to their religion. All they need to do is look at what happened to the public reputation of Catholicism once the Kennedy family and “Camelot” became their most prominent public face.
