Well, I’m not going along with any of that. If they want my vote, they can put Ryan or someone else at the top of the ticket at the convention. Otherwise, piss on ‘em.
I’ll stand firm for God, country and Liberty!! Socialists can KMA!!
Here in Michigan I voted for Clark Durant in the primary. He lost to Pete Hoekstra but I can support Hoekstra over Stabenow because Pete isn’t the bridge too far that Romney is.
Sure Hoekstra has some RINO tendencies but he’s well to the right of someone like McCain.

LOL! I'm a bit lacking in sleep today, and I thought your post was "These fingers are obsessed with you and FR, Jim"
I thought it was either very nice, or rather odd. Then I realized I needed a cup of very strong coffee! LOL!
>>Ill stand firm for God, country and Liberty!! Socialists can KMA!!
As I said, stand for God. The country and liberty are as good as gone. I’m voting for Romney/Ryan not because I think they’ll save the US, but because they might prolong the death until I’m gone. If we can get a few states to seceed and create a Christian nation, I will go there.
God bless you, Jim. God bless your family, too.
A liberal is a liberal whether there's an R or D after their name.
I doubt any Conservatives have left Free Republic but a lot of RINOs and libs have.
I guess my pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-small government, pro-gun, pro-liberty constitutional stance makes me a "purist" who must be hated and persecuted and run off the net even though my positions on these causes are exactly the same as the official Republican party platform.
That ... plus I'm willing to bet that your willingness to fight for these ideals ... combined with your non-compromising take no prisoners attitude ... causes the establishment RINO's to pee their pants more than just about anything else.
My doctor told me to get off FR and take a rest......I got a new doctor.
I am considering voting for Ryan as well - by writing him in as President.
I was ABR during the primaries.
I will be ABO now.
I’m glad Ryan is on the ticket.
I suspect that a sizeable majority of FReepers, all good conservatives, will vote the same way as me.
I respect those who don’t, though I think they err. That’s the way it goes.
Yep. It’s RINO season. Thin the herd.
And I’m ready to pack my bags for Texas the moment they decide to secede from the United Socialist States of America!! God, bless TEXAS!!
Jim...whenever someone takes a moral, principled stand, verses a pragmatic one, they will be persecuted for it. That just makes you a good guy!
IF someone calls me a “purist” for having a basic set of reasonable standards and sticking to them....then I know they are NOT truly conservative...they are only conveinently so.
You are taking a stand when all the others are selling out to Romney’s nonsense. They do this because of fear of Obama. Well, common sense tells one that you don’t fight wrong with wrong. Obama is wrong and Romney is wrong. We don’t have to sell folks on Obama being wrong....it is self evident. However, I find it extremely disturbing that folks cannot see that Romney does not meet minimal standards of acceptability. To vote for him would be to violate one’s personal standards of morality and ethics. At least for a sensible person...like you Jim.
Keep fighting the good fight!
Ryan seals the deal for me. I will vote for RR. In the best of circumstances I can see Ryan leading on policy for 8 years of a Romney administration and then taking over for a further 8 years to complete reforms of Supreme Court and the whole DC establishment.
Withholding a vote is a vote for Obama. Voting “present” isn’t an option if you have a concern for the future of your country..If you can vote for Ryan in 2016 or 2020..then should vote for RR now.
Hey, now how did you manage to get a photo of my new mobility powered zot device? That’s classified!
Oh my, that woman is such a pain!
He has corrected me on that by saying that I have met him, therefore I know he is male.
True, I have met him in person.
That didn't convince me though...heh
I remember when he was sycophanting the old anti-freeper site clown posse.
He was trying so hard to fit in, dissing FR and posting 'relevant' scat.
Even they saw that he was a weak fence sitter, and humiliated him to such a degree that he slunk back to FR, pretending to be part of this group.
OK decided to use my backspace key, lol don't need to go into the past sordid history of this sad woman anymore...but I am glad ES has been outed as a class one A anti-freeper finally.
It won't be long until the real hard case anti's send him packing again!
“I can see Ryan leading on policy for 8 years of a Romney administration and then taking over for a further 8 years to complete reforms of Supreme Court and the whole DC establishment.”
That is NOT going to happen. Romney will be Romney, just like he was in MASS., and Ryan will just be window dressing and will have zero influence. Romney will surround himself with liberals and his Salt Lake City buddies.
If its not about values and beliefs, then what IS it about?
If its not about restoring America and returning to Christ, then what’s the point?
After the election is over, we still have to be able to live with what we’ve done and who we’ve become. I will vote Romney/Ryan, but we probably need to start thinking of a third party run for 2016.
Quietly, here in Tennessee, we are weeding the herd. Six of the candidates put up by the TEA Party, who did not live up to their promises, have been primaried out by candidates who we hope will do better. Who knows, Tennessee might join Texas once again if that secession becomes necessary.
LOL @ “fingers” ;0)
