Why is that?
He must’ve been listening to a lot of Olympians talk about how blessed they are to have their talents. Those Olympians also have talked about how much hard work they have put in to achieve their goals.
Is Obama complaining that some folks aren’t blessed or lucky? Is he saying that we’re not all equal? Hmmmm.
Lucky. Like “Oh I am so lucky that no one figured out I cheated my way through law school, don’t really have a valid BC, can’t speak my mind without a teleprompter and a media who licks my ass and lies for me to get me re-elected”.
Wasn't it someone like Ben Franklin that said "the harder I work the luckier I get"?
Yes there is some luck involved but the trick is to have made the necessary preparations to take advantage of your good fortune otherwise it will just pass you by.
Liberals always brand successful people as “lucky”. Therefore you are not entitled to the fruits of your success.
WAIT ! Now I’m a “two percenter ?”
I wasn’t ready to get all inclusive and everything.........
The only thing Obama can run is his Mouth.
(and lately that ain't working out too well for him)
Obama has never earned anything in his life. Everything was given to him:
-Winning the Noble Prize? He didn't earn it. It was given to him.
-Admission to Columbia? He didn't earn that. He gamed the system to get admitted as being a foreign student - his grades were not good enough to get him in.
-Admission to Harvard Law? He didn't earn it. His grades were sub-par. He was admitted due to Affirmative Action.
-Elected President of the Harvard Law Review? He didn't earn that. Its a popularity contest, and he really wasn't that popular at Harvard.
Obama is a product of Affirmative Action. He could never succeed without have a quota set aside for a black guy to create a sense of "Diversity."
Wow, listen as the Great Uniter "others" his class enemy.

Two percent of the president's staff, 3% of the Senate staff and 4.2% of the House staff are among the 279,000 U.S. government employees who owe the IRS a cumulative $3.4 billion.
President Barack Obama has preached that all Americans should pay their fair share in taxes, but a government report finds that tens of thousands of federal employees -- from staffers in Congress to those in federal agencies and even Obama's executive office -- collectively owe the government billions in back taxes.
Data from the Internal Revenue Service show that more than 279,000 federal employees and retirees owed $3.4 billion in back income taxes as of Sept. 30, 2010.
The data includes 467 employees of the House of Representatives, or about 4.2% of the workforce, who owed more than $8.5 million. In the Senate, 217 employees, or about 3% of the workforce, owed $2.13 million.
Obama's staff was not immune, either, with 36 people in Obama's executive office of nearly 1,800 workers -- about 2% -- owing the government a total of $833,970 in back taxes.
Obama used part of his State of the Union address Tuesday night to promote economic fairness, arguing for changes in the tax code that would create a minimum tax rate of at least 30% on anyone making more than $1 million.

Gee, I wonder why Obama can’t connect hard work with achievement...
“Luckily,” a lot of “rich” people used to be poor. Either they were. Or daddy, or grandpa. And they know DAMN WELL it was a couple strokes of brilliance and a LOT of hard work to make that money.
Obama can talk his Marxism all he wants.
But it is simply isn’t true. And he needs to go.
I started life as the son of a share-cropper. I worked hard all my life and am now in the 1%. The blessing and luck and good fortune I had were parents that instilled the sense of hard work and a God who gave me health along the way. Beyond that, I worked for it.
I’m still waiting for some of Oh-Bah-Mah’s rich cronies to step up and voluntarily contribute “a little bit more” to the US Treasury.
And what does he mean by the “other” two percent? Is he admitting that he (and his cronies) belong to a different two percent, and get to play by a different set of rules?
You know i’ve been up all night worrying about my small business and trying to figure out how not to lay off 3 people that really need their jobs.
This guy really makes me ill. He’s helped destroy my customers thus for me create trickle up poverty and he then says stuff like this.
All i can pray is this guys goes and i can hang on long enough.
For the record, its guts and determination and the grace of God. Not luck and good fortune

I’ve actually been one of the “lucky” - for 15 years. Over the past few years, I cut back on my hours and my intensity, and my abundance of luck disappeared. Does my adherence to reasonable hours today give me some claim on the wealth of those who are so talented and so hard working that they now make more than I do? To a communist, that may make sense. If Americans are starting to believe that nonsense too, then we are in trouble.
