100 percent agreement here. Nothing irritates me faster than reading ‘molon labe!’ Keyboard bluster, chest-beating feel-good crowing — from people with stones no greater than the chiclets on their laptops.

Nor will the govt ever need to roll tanks through neighborhoods, disarming the people. It’ll just take your tax money and buy up all the ammo, and all the suppliers; later, do the same with the guns; and one day when you’re at work it’ll send someone to talk to you while someone else goes to your house. No need to make a mess. Not one sheep in ten thousand resists anyway.

You don’t resist now, you never will. You haven’t even the nerve to quit funding the govt with your tax payments. Your pre-colddead hands hand that over readily, when there are safe and legal ways to avoid it. Galting is so inconvenient...but you’ll be channeling Crockett and Custer when they demand the guns, yeah, okay.

And, within a couple of months of Obama disarming the American populace, Russia and China will invade.

They are not fools.

Look, they know they can’t just up and decide to take the private property of several million folks all at once.

They could get away with it in a few isolated instances, but not the entire country.

They only way they can do that as they did over in Great Britain – incrementally.

They will first need lists of who has what – they will need gun registration.

Second they will need to clamp down on the transfers of these guns to no only build the lists, but control where the guns flow.

As they did over in GB, they make all kinds of promises that this won’t lead to CONFISCATION.

[All the while they are planning said confiscation]

That process will start with them calling for people to “Voluntarily” register their guns – this will be phase one of the confiscation process – many will be deemed ‘Unfit’ to own weapons and POOF! Those folks will no longer own guns.

Next they will have the authorities search for ‘unregistered guns’ – ostensibly so they can be registered – more will be deemed ‘unfit’ and more guns will be taken.

As soon as they feel they have most guns on their lists, they will start calling them in.

Each one of these steps will be proceeded by a ‘serious crisis’.

Why not fight? When the State comes after your arms, you are not just losing your constitutional right to keep and bear arms, you have, at that point lost every right you ever had.If the government we have comes to that, you will be labeled as a dissident anyway, and will be executed at some point, anyway.
Our military is the sons and daughters of Patriots. Not the sons and daughters of liberals, who loathe the military. I have nephews in the military, right now. Want real trouble? order them to go arrest or shoot at their kin. Sure, there are some there, even upper level commanders who would have no problem killing civilians if it meant a political boost. Believe me ,those are a tiny minority.

Some might disagree with me on this but they might first want to examine it from a two thousand year historical perspective.

I would claim that a push for gun control comes from the elite and those of great wealth and power. I don’t see it as liberal versus conservative, as much as ensuring security for those of privilege.

I say that only because throughout history those of great power and wealth frowned on little people possessing swords and arms. They purposely kept them disarmed so that they would never represent a threat to their power. They were called serfs for a reason, and it was to make sure they stayed serfs.

Those organizations who support gun control typically represent the higher echelons of elitist privilege and wealth.

As George Washington said: “The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that’s good.”

Washington understood that diverse armed Americans at all strata of society will have a much needed political clout that is above the Parties and politicians. In other words it will keep the politicians and their powerful rich supporters from ever thinking they can plunder us at will.

This guy (Jim Karger) sounds like an idiot through and through. The only “Neo-Cons” that I know are talking heads on TV, many of which are getting real squishy about the 2A lately. What a stooge.

It is hard to know exactly what one would do when confronted by officers of the government.

When I was young and had a family depending on me, I probably would have secured a few where only I knew where they were then would have turned over what was in the house.

Now I am getting on in years and have no one depending on me, I just might oppose them. Even then it would not be an open confrontation but I would try to be as sneaky as possible and trade my life dearly.

I know some people who would simply fight it out with them. There is not the slightest doubt in my mind that my late Father would have just shot it out with them. I have seen him before just open up on a criminal who had stolen his medication and was driving away.

I wonder and suspect that it was because he had been in combat. It probably changed him a bit. Then again it might have just been in his nature. His Father had shot and killed a guy in an open gunfight. Grandpa was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 20 years. Fortunately the governor gave him a full pardon after he had been in Raiford only a year.

In my part of the Union, the Federal kapos are not in a position of authority over even its’ own employees.

The order may be given but it’s unlikely to ever make the light of day. Although, on the same day, they’re will be a breaking news segment where said kapos commit suicide en masse.

I do not disagree with this. They will come for us one at at time. History has proven this and we will mostly stand alone.

Our forefathers knew this thus “a well regulated militia being necessary......”. We are just a bunch of guys with guns. Sorry to say this.

I wasn't going to post this, but you know what...why not!
Here's my message to you, Jim Karger...

Head Like A Hole
Bow down before the one you serve.
You're going to get what you deserve.

Bow down at the feet of your god .gov.
May your chains rest lightly.

My apologies for the mini rant, blam.

Deliberately provocative article, designed to elicit reactions from gunnies.

He projects his own cowardice onto others, just like every other liberal *sshole.

Just chuckle at the fool, that’s all.

If the federal government decides to disarm the public, and when the increasingly-militarized [police force] rolls down your street after a not-so-subtle request that you kindly turn over your firearms and ammunition “for the common good,” it will be nothing less than suicide by cop to do anything other than what you are told.

Utter nonsense. There will not be enough "cops" to do all the confiscating, and those who resist will not simply be taken down one by one. They will have to kill large groups of resistors.

Regardless of the level of militarization of the police forces, the author is totally naive if he thinks such operations against the citizens will be either easy or successful. He's dreaming.

If they try it, they will see exactly how fierce the heart of a patriot is...

Very interesting thread. A door to door confiscation of weapons is not going to happen, not without significant causualties.

As stated earlier, Waco is a really good example of how a 'small' amount of resistance can bring a seemingly unstoppable force to a complete halt.

Remember the "insurgency" in Iraq? Multiply that by, oh, even just a million or so. Somebody hasn't been paying attention to the amount of firearms and ammunition purchased in the last 3 years.

Think people are just going to hand it over. I don't think so.....

And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. “You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands,” which I often follow with the question, “And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood [in] the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?”

This is not a question they are comfortable with, if only because the intent of their saber-rattling was to imply they would fight to keep their weapons, and win.

Nice fantasy. It’s not happening.

Tell it to Tom Wales, shot dead on the basement floor of his own home, just another dead fool resisting the People.

Time to bring out the mantra of freedom loving people:
If you have a knife, you can get a rifle; if you have a rifle, you can get a machine gun; If you have a machine gun, you can get an RPG; If you have an RPG, you can get a tank; etc.

Captain Obvious. If you fight the Swat team, on their terms, with their preparation, when they are on alert, barricaded and confined in your residence, you will lose.

However if it's "that time" it's not that hard to set an ambush, and the high level bureaucrats have to leave their offices and homes at some point.

I like “From my cold dead hands!” But I prefer “Two in the chest, one in the head” and “Have a plan to kill every man you meet.”

We surround them. Never forget that.

I fully understand the cost of freedom. I am willing to give my life to defend my God-given rights. I’m good with Jesus Christ. I do not fear death. So, they misunderstand me if they think I will bow down to any man.

Americans have become sheep to be led to and off the cliff by the pied pipers of disinformation and PR.

The scenario will work like this.

First, the groups of organized opposition such as NRA GOA etc will be hijacked by the M. Bloombergs and big money interests behind gun control. A billion here or there could buy off their BODs. Without any such organization and there is no defense against the wealthy elites who want the sheep disarmed. All it takes is to change or cut of the head of leadership and the mission of such organizations can be molded like putty by $$$$$.

Second, would be a media that uses intentional false flag gun tragedies (purposely set up???) to move public opinion.

Third, before you can snap your fingers the American sheep that are owned by Hollywood and the entertainment media would be clamoring to rescind the 2nd Amendment.

I use the example of the AARP that once served as the most powerful lobbying and advocacy group in the USA, and it served senior citizens. No Congressman would mess with them. Around 2000 there was a leadership coup that took all of the voting power from the state AARP groups and gave the power to the new CEO Novelli. He turned it into a money making machine that primarily used and profited from seniors, instead of a group that only advocated for seniors.

The same thing could easily happen to gun advocacy groups.
