Congrats! There is life after retirement for sure!!! I retired last year as a Chief in the Navy. It is wonderful being retired and my family agrees. It is sad what is happening to our military (just awful). Please ensure that your husband gets ALL of his aches and pains listed in his medical record. It is amazing how crazy the process is for the VA. It has been 14 months since I retired and still nothing from the VA....Looking at other people I know who retired a year before me. I should get my info probably in early 2013 only 18 months after retirement....Ugh.
I suspected we had a true, blue Navy dude as “naps coordinator” because I know what a naps coordinator is!
Our family is a 30 yr Navy family...I served for 10 yrs....and retirement happened 5-6 yrs ago. With all this crap going on and, unfortunately, we know, personally, the flags who did it, the sighs of relief are loud around here but we weep for our Navy, country, troopers and sailors who will have to walk the tight rope and have a much harder time doing their job and keeping us all safe...or do we do that now being a “global force for GOOD”?
