It is a can of worms. If being homo is okay, then why not being an army officer? And if being a homo is okay, then why not publicly talking about it? I am preaching to the choir, but trying to think logically about this.
Where it ends is, if being homosexual is okay, then why don’t we mandate that our teachers start teaching kindergarteners that they can grow up to marry either a man or a woman? And get them used to the idea as young as possible by having them holds hands and dance with both genders. Any encouragement of strictly heterosexual behavior would be discriminatory to those children who “God made gay” and make them feel out of place and ostracized, so the laws cannot allow that.
Alternatively, let’s ban all school dances, proms, Valentine exchanges, hand-holding, etc. on school property, because they would be so heavily weighted to heterosexual couples that it would be discriminatory and create a hostile environment to homosexual kids.
Certainly there is no way you can stop the above scenarios if same-sex marriage becomes legal. At that point you have official national equality and the above must be enforced, or you’ll have the lawyers banging at your door and walking away with all your money for violating equal protection.
