Ryan is going to be a GREAT campaigner. This is just the beginning and he’s already knocking their socks off.

This is the first time I have let myself hope that we can run the table on obama. I am now a believer.

Ryan is going to be a GREAT campaigner. This is just the beginning and he’s already knocking their socks off.

I was utterly blown away by this rally in Wisconsin. Ryan came on like gangbusters and whipped the crowd into a frenzy. Then Romney came on and after a cautious start, he too began whipping the crowd into a frenzy. I believe that Ryan has stepped up Romney's game and will be feeding off his energy the rest of the campaign.

I love the way that Romney shouted down that heckler. Pointed his finger at him and gave him a short lecture. Then Romney told Obama to "get his campaign out of the gutter" to rapturous applause. After that, Romney had the crowd in the palm of his hands.

Palin injected a similar amount of energy into McCain's campaign but it's a different dynamic this time. Ryan is a Beltway veteran and is used to challenging the President's policies and taking on the media. No learning curve for Ryan with respect to how to handle the media. Poor little bubblehead Katie Couric is probably shaking in her boots at the prospects of interviewing him. Ryan will run circles around her and make her look foolish. Every time Ryan shows up on mainstream media, he's going to be winning hearts and minds of the viewers because he knows how to frame the issues in laymen's terms and he's not afraid to go on the offensive.

Palin had an uphill battle turning around the tepid McCain campaign, not to mention they were fighting the tidal wave of the hatred for George Bush and the Obama "hopey changey" phenomenon. Ryan joins the Romney campaign at a time when it is (at worst) dead even with Obama, if not already a few points ahead. Now the surge begins and suddenly it's 1980 all over again.
