The Boomers were Woodstock Nation with their oldest ranks turning 24 in 1969.

That doesn’t mean anything, it was the last year of the 1960s and Boomer Sarah Palin was 5 years old and the oldest boomer was 24.

Now which generation fits that age group for 2009?

Did anyone even notice the 5-24 year olds of 2009 as being important or significant for anything besides their music, or other things that kids do? The generation that was age 5 to 24 in 2009 will never be seen as the congress, president, senate, state legislatures, mayors, supreme court, the military establishment, the news media, Hollywood, the book publishing industry, the university leadership, and everything else of the adult world of their time, they will not even be associated with the 2000s except in regards to kids pop culture and such, but not the running of the nation and it’s institutions.

Ronald Reagan was the first president that all the boomers could vote for, that was the in 1984 election, he was their president as they were emerging into society and adulthood they were the last great military generation, their service approaches 10,000,000, boomers filled his military ranks, it was boomers that filled the ranks of the Airborne Rangers parachuting in to take Grenada. In 1980, boomers filled all of the colleges.

In 1980 boomers ranged from age 15 to 34, still too young to be leading America, but during the next 8 years they would start making their way into leadership as management, congressmen, administrators, judges, Mayors and so on, which is the natural emergence of a generation as it starts taking over the reigns of power and leadership.

The boomers today are the generation being replaced, since they are at the natural prime of true power, age 47-66.
They are well on their way to being replaced by the generation that followed them, like the 41 year old Paul Ryan.

My point is, that the next 30 years won’t be nearly as good for conservatives as the era of 1980-2010, which was the last effective attempt to roll back the radical lefts takeover of America from the 1930s to the late 1970s, although that was impossible, because the left made too many permanent, poison bullet changes that sealed the future and could never be undone, nonetheless, that era will someday be remembered for many incredible victories, like welfare reform and resurrecting the Second Amendment.

We will continue to win some, but at the end of this next 30 years, 1980 to 2010 (or 2020) will become a period seen
as the great resurgence of conservatism in America, as strange as that may sound right now, as we are having to live through this mess, history will see it differently when they look at the chart of the successful, radical, powerful, enduring gains by the left over the period of the 1930s through the 2040s, and the graph reveals the slump of big bomb legislation, and even some substantial retreats that the left suffered during those decades.
