Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Here is another. You have to be insane to think that we we OR ANY PARTY will have a 2/3 majority in the Senate. It Just Doesn't Happen! Particularly in such a closely divided country.

It is not logical to think that it would be easier to get 19 additional Republican seats while keeping all the ones they have instead of getting one Republican to act a little more conservative.

It is not rational thinking.

For all who won’t vote for Romney:

Paul doesn’t make Romney a “great,” or even “good” or “fair” choice, but you sure can’t say Paul is as bad as Biden. With the VP slot really only serving as the Senate tie-breaker, fellow campaign debater, and the rare step-in for a presidential death, Mr. Ryan will have relatively little to contribute. That said, not voting for president, voting for 0bama, or voting for “Mickey Mouse” or the like will only help keep the status quo.

If you can’t vote for Romney due to conscience (pro-abortion, etc.), then stop paying your taxes, because you are funding the same. At least we have a chance for something better than 0bama with Romney in office. We have no chance for better if 0bama stays in for another term.

I was for Newt and absolutely still hate Romney. I vowed I would not vote for Romney, but Obama has forced my hand. If we don’t vote Romney, we will have 4 more years of Holders brand of justice and Obamas executive orders, both of which cannot be overcome by a Republican majority in both houses.

Vote for the good of America. It’s like doing something outside your comfort zone to save a loved ones life.

My exact thoughts. I had every other candidate (save for maybe Huntsman and Ron Paul) ahead of Romney. However, the thought of giving the Usurper four more years to finish his planned destruction of this great country will have me enthusiastically voting for Romney-Ryan. I'll vote for Mitt so that Barry, Holder, Big Sis, Geitner, Salazar, Sebelius, Clinton, Chu, Biden, Axelrod and all the other cronies and czars can be swept out of the White House in January.

Not to mention the possibility of replacing anywhere from 1-4 more Supreme Court Justices. (Ginsburg will probably retire due to her health, Kennedy and Scalia are both 76 and Breyer at 74 might want to retire as to then be replaced with another Lib). God help us if Barry is given the opportunity to pack the court with 3 or more Sotomayer-Kagan clones.

Oh pulease. Your rhetoric is way over the top. I bow to Christ. Not you, not MittCare, not even Mr. Robinson, although I try to obey his rules when in his house (hence my original post).

If you think He will send me to Hell for voting for Romney over a bonafide candidate for an anti-Christ, well, that’s your business. Doesn’t matter to me because I know who gets to make that call. HINT: Not you or any other mortal. I’ll pray about it and if I’m wrong, I’ll ask Him for forgiveness.

PS Your antagonostic tone is not effective at convincing people of your point. See JR’s original post for an example of an argument that gave me pause. In fact, I’m still debating what I’ll do because I respect JR and he makes his points well.

To be fair, what romney said was, “repeal and replace”. That “replace” is one of the things that worries me about romney. I already know what he thinks that the perfect health care plan looks like... and it looks quite a bit like obamacare.

Really? I remember an assault weapons ban. For starters. And of course his strong belief in mandates.

And there’s that whole Romneycare business...

Now if any of that was constitutional, well, I guess people should support him. If not...

Ryan has been a loyal member of the R party with his votes and it paid off for him with this appointment by Romney who knows that Ryan will “Toe the line” .

Nothing changes with this.

Watch and hear all the talk of the ‘Republican excitement’ about this. Have we heard this all before?

So, by paying your taxes, you support government-funded abortions and gay domestic partners of government employees and you are willingly paying for evil.

If you really were a person of principle, you should stop paying your taxes and be willing to go to jail for your beliefs, right? Otherwise, you are just a “convenient conservative,” right?

The Supreme Court was supposed to check and balance Soetoro. They failed. The game has changed. No one has the luxury of voting their conscience. It is survival and a tactical decision. Soetoro has got to go. The more votes against him, the less spin there will be. A crashing defeat of Soetoro will send the message even Willard will get.

Good ideas, yes the GOP has to be reformed. Don't know if it is possible or not. What with the GOP-e's attitude towards Conservatives and Tea Party People, I will not be part of the laughing stock that votes for Romney. The best way to show the Republican party leaders that they must stop running RINO's and liberals is to not vote for them. I voted for Sarah the last time around, but McCain and Romney (yes his people were on McCain's staff) snookered any chance she had to influence them by viciously attacking her (mostly backstabbing, one of Romney's specialities) so she would be marginalized. Along with the Tea Party Movement and Conservativism in general.

Voting for Romney is the same as voting for a weak and ineffictive party machine. And they are laughing at all who do. Not me.

Her choice is hers to make. Just like yours. I don’t agree with either. But ya’ll can live with the consequences.

I like 90% of what Palin stands for. On this issue she failed utterly. And you may check my post history having said so repeatedly, long before today.

I’m well acquainted with Romney’ liberal record

And it did you no good. Now how familiar are you with The Word of God?

Again, I will ask you... Should everyone get rid of their cars,.....So which is worse, voting for Mitt Romney or funding terrorist activities?

Dumb** analogy. ONLY meant to soothe your conscious. Everyone has their own excuse why they are bowing to evil.

Barack Obama and his lawless administration is far more dangerous than a Mormon RINO and a conservative Catholic.

First of all, KEEP IT honest! LIBERAL MORMON CULT BISHOP!

Secondly, it's obvious how you tone down exactly what the EVIL POS romney is to suite your agenda.

You are continuing in the deception that mitt starting it you because NOW you are deceiving yourself!

DECEPTION Begets DECEPTION!

I’ve seen the video. I’m watching it again on another screen as I type this. Thanks again. You’re right, Romney is a milquetoast liberal ass Republican.

I’m still going to vote for Romney anyway though, even if I had to stomp across a carpet of bibles wearing muddy fishing boots to a polling place that was in the back room of a Planned Parenthood clinic and tongue-kiss Sarah Brady before I could cast my ballot. You can bet the whole Freepathon pot on that, Jim.

The fact that he is a Mormon is just the icing on the cake.

Are you sure you do not mean; just the opposite? Or perhaps; this is an 'upside-down' cake?
