Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.
But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.
And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.
And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.
That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.
Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.
We need to get a poster like the Breitbart one.
Had you left sleeping dogs lie...
Perfect.
You’re not a bigot? How do you really feel about people whose faith requires them to not lend any support to a polytheist, regardless of the social price they might have to pay to remain faithful to that conviction? Would you have them violate their conscience and their deeply held religious beliefs, just so you could have the political outcome you want? Do you realize that calling them bigots, when they are doing no more than obeying Christ, may itself be an act of bigotry? Do you deny that you resent them for their religious views regarding nonsupport of polytheists? Is not such irrational resentment, with no attempt to bridge the gap of understanding, the very essence of bigotry?
Well, they may be Republicans, but they don’t seem to understand much these days about what it means to be a republican.
(Neocon means joo)
Relying solely upon Christian beliefs to effect change at a national level election, in a country that no longer has a majority of voters who are Christians, much less Christians who go and vote is ludicrous.
The Christians have to start at the local levels first, in their communities, to effect change from the bottom up. Our schools have propagandized the children into little liberals for a generation. The colleges have continued from that for another generation. At the helm of government at immoral, greedy, selfish people. They need to be booted out, but that’s not going to happen until the People change first. And that will only come with Christianity into their hearts, and that’s not going to happen from the tv sets. It’s going to take one on one, in homes, on the streets, and wherever people are face to face.
Until that happens, the majority voting block will remain the same type of people getting elected into office, self-centered, short-sighted, entitlement thinking people who aren’t going to vote for a principled conservative who submits to Godly wisdom and authority.
And as you so correctly said earlier...they don’t even understand the difference.
Well, there is no proof that that happened.
I'm sure it would be supported by the Bible if it was true.
It wouldn't be the first thing that Joseph Smith lied about.
So because Smith claimed it, you believe it?
No, idiot. Can’t you read? The man running for president aspires to be like Jesus. Geez! Buy a dictionary!
And the problem now is what? You discovered you aren't a conservative after all?
So buy a clue!! A LIBERAL CULT LEADER with same sex marriage and being pro abortion under his belt wasn't running on the GOP ticket lying about conservative PATRIOTS while begging for the conservative vote when you remember the good old days. HE IS NOW!
If you can't handle TRUTH - no one can help you with that but yourself. You read Truth and call it hell/fire/brimstone because you realize you can't do whatever you want and NOT be held accountable!
And as for your fiscal mindset.....
"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."
Well, somebody has to take a stand for principle, tell the truth boldly, without fear or favor, in order to get things moving in the right direction.
I assure you that such leadership will not come from the Romney Republican camp. It can’t.
Romney is a LIBERAL! The kind Reagan WARNED us about!
Congratulations! You brought us over the top!!
I don't see that he's saying he'll do whatever, and then consult scripture later. He said, he'll do whatever he is able, and then as we are told (bid) by the scriptures, to "wait upon the Lord..." That is scriptural to do. We are supposed to 'wait upon the Lord'. God gives us direction as we go about doing His will. Then we are to wait until He reveals further His will before we proceed further. I'm not reading it at all the way you have.
Sorry to wake you and your wife, Norm. How ya been? I see you missed me.
And I can assure it, the direction Obama is taking us is pure evil.
