We the people built America!! We settled it, we hacked it out of the wilderness. We fought for it, we defended it, we died for it. We built our homes, our farms, our factories, our businesses, our schools, our churches, our towns. We raised and educated our children to continue building it.

And as everyone who graduated from the eighth grade before the government propaganda artists took over knows, we the people built the government:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

And we the people granted the government certain LIMITED powers reserving all others to the states and to ourselves:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The government did NOT build America. We the people built it. If anything, the government has stood in the way nearly every step of the way!! And now the government has openly stated that its goal is to destroy the "flawed" constitution, destroy freedom and destroy the free economy altogether by fundamentally transforming America from a free country to a socialist state.

You, our elected representatives and appointed lackeys, are NOT our RULERS. You are our SERVANTS!! Never forget that!!

Mr. pResident, you are just the current temporary occupant. An unfortunate mistake of history that will soon be rectified by we the people.

Free Republic is here to continue fighting for independence and freedom and against the unconstitutional encroachment of ever expanding socialist government. Government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed. We do not consent to godless liberal/progressive socialist government!!

We believe in the founding principles with all our hearts and mean to defend them to our dying breath:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

God granted us life and liberty along with all of our other unalienable rights. We place our faith in God, not government. With God all things are possible.

I will add that we didn’t get a lot of Republican votes -- but that’s okay, they’ve got time. We passed it through the Senate and now is the time for the House to do the same. They should not be holding middle-class tax cuts hostage just to get more tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.
