Rubio's only been on the national scene just over one year. His choice to succeed him in the FL state house was discovered to be corrupt and a close friend of his is under investigation. These are the kinds of distractions that aren't needed in the 2012 campaign even though Rubio is not known to have been involved in wrong doing.
“No because Rubio is also a natural born citizen in spite of birther theory.”
What are you if neither parent is a citizen when you are born? I say you are an anchor baby....a citizen but certainly not a natural born citizen. Am I wtong?

All citizens are not natural born. Citizenship has been based for centuries on the father's citizenship.
Rubio was born to two Cuban nationals. He was born here. That makes him at best a dual citizen, and an American citizen only due to the 14th Amendment, which had nothing to do with the eligibility requirements for President.
Thus, Rubio could be a Senator or a Congressman. But he can not be President.
Natural born was an added requirement so that the Commander in Chief would not be a person of divided loyalties.Natural born is born in the country of two citizen parents, and the definition was well known to the Founders, as two copies of Vattel were present in the deliberations in Philadelphia in 1787 which produced the Constitution. That is not "birtherism". It is history--our history as Americans. I know we don't agree on this, but your comment could not go unchallenged. Others can do the research and make up their own minds.
