Honestly, why do demographic changes have to necessarily doom America? As the white vote gets smaller on a percentage basis, the democrats have shown that they are getting a smaller percentage of it as well. If the dems lose any percentage of the hispanic or black vote than they got in 2008, they lose.

For all the talk of demographics and the fatalistic view that we are ‘doomed’ one just has to look back at the 2010 midterms which paint a more optimistic picture. Where am I wrong on this??

The mid-term electorate tends to be a smaller, more energized, more ideological slice of the population. In Presidential election years, the electorate is the whole enchilada.. more minorities and more people who aren`t otherwise involved.
