Constitution Party presidential candidate Virgil Goode said Tuesday he does not know why the Virginia State Board of Elections is asking for a probe into matters pertaining to his campaign.

State officials are keeping quiet on the investigation request.

The elections board on Monday voted unanimously to ask Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli to probe “suspected petition fraud” on forms that the Constitution Party submitted in efforts to get Goode’s name on the ballot for the Nov. 6 presidential election.

In a phone interview, Goode said nobody from either the elections board or the attorney general’s office has contacted him, so he has “no idea” what is behind the board’s request for an investigation.

“I’d like to know” what is going on, he said.

Justin Riemer, deputy secretary for the state board of elections, said in an email that “we are not commenting on the investigation at this time.”

Riemer referred inquiries to the attorney general’s office. Brian Gottstein, Cuccinelli’s director of communications, could not be reached Tuesday afternoon.

Not that I recall it that way. Perot was pulling down more than his fair share of Democrat votes. Clinton won in a blow out in the electoral college ~ which is where it counts.

4 million Social and Fiscal Conservatives stayed home in that race anyway ~ pappy Bush was on the wrong side on too many things.

Virgil Goode is one choice of many. Neither Obama nor Romney are a choice at all. They don't get our votes ~ and that's because they are SCUM, as are their followers ~ SCUM ~ you understand that?

But the Green Party and Dems will have the cabdidates they want on Virginia’s ballot. Goode has over 8,000 of the sigs he needs... and Obama is already on the ballot.

I will be nice and just say that you have an “interesting” outlook on things.
