Or, perhaps I’m simply expressing my opinion, one that is based on actual experience with the folks in question, and which concerns the political health of my state.

It's the old argument about whether you would rather have a bad case of gout or terminal cancer. Both suck but one is fatal and the other is not.
One thing I'll give Romney and it is that he had to govern in a state where 85-90% of the legislature was Democrat. Not just Democrat but flat-out moonbat Democrat. I mean, we'll talking about a state that habitually elected the likes of Barney Frank and any derelict that had the surname Kennedy or initials of JFK (as in John F'ing Kerry).
So yeah, I'm not happy about the choices but I'm going to vote for Romney and I'm not going to trash him between now and November. Once he's in, I'll be his biggest critic if he doesn't fly right.
Who knows, maybe Romney will pleasantly surprise us if he is elected with a conservative Congress in the majority. The expectations are certainly low enough.
