TX defeated only one liberal Republican state senator in the primary runoff. The others either were not running this year or had already survived first primary challengers.

Several other weren't on the ballot at all as they chose to retire rather than face re-election and MANY rino r's were defeated in the house.

The Texas legislature will be a HUGELY more conservative body next session as a result.

I should hope so.
2011 session was a big disappointment given the large GOP majority that was gained. Straus is to be faulted, but I dont think he’ll be knocked off even with some of his pals gone.
