So my point is that it’s been a long time since undergrad, and unless you made close friends that you kept in touch with, you aren’t going to be remembered 30 years later. Other than Keane and Stephanie, I don’t remember any of the other poli sci or German majors, and I doubt any of the others now remember me.

I tend to agree with this when I think back to my college days. OTOH, if one of my college acquaintances suddenly became president? I think my inclination would be to wrack my brains to see if I could remember anything about a president who attended my school/college with the same graduation year.

Especially one with the name Barry Sotero or Barack Hussein Obama....

Being a mullato at that point in time is also something someone would remember about a classmate.

We weren’t into the full blown PC in the early 80’s
