The two major candidates seem to be pretty much the same on social issues (though Romney claims to have changed his mind on abortion), but Obama wants nothing less than the DEATH of the Republic. If he wins in November, there won't be any more elections to 'fix' it. So all other things being equal, it would be acceptable in my view to vote for Romney.
That said, my state (AL) will go for Romney with or without my vote, so I could vote third party, but conservatives in other swing states wouldn't have that luxury.

Which is a very good reason for social conservatives to flex their muscles and not vote for Romney. The Republican party can lose the Presidency until hell freezes over unless they put up a genuine pro-life candidate and one opposed to homofascism.
