We’ve become much more involved in deciding the direction of the treatment of our dogs. When our eldest boy went in for his ultrasound, I told our Vet that I wanted to be there. She seemed very surprised, but agreed. If she hadn’t agreed, I wouldn’t have booked the appointment. I’m so glad I was there. He was so afraid, and I think that me holding him and talking to him helped. My poor baby.

While we trust Dr. Van Buren, our days of trusting any new vet are over forever.

You’re wise to keep an eye on them and everything that they do to your beloved dogs.

And of course it helps tremendously for you to be there when the dog is in a scary and unusual situation.

Duh, Ms. Vet! And good on you, Trisham.
