My weather thang sez 111 at least for the rest of the week. My Weatherbug has been blaring a warning about “excessive Heat” since Saturday. Excessive heat? This is Phoenix. I don’t consider 115 excessive. We did get close to that yesterday....
We’re not out of the woods, yet. We hit 117 in May, 115 in June and the highest since July first has been 112.
Monsoon season is almost over, so we will be getting the heat again come September.
“Excessive heat” is for the benefit of the newbies to the Valley of the Sun...just like flash flood warnings.
