I will look for a small truck. The vehicles are all worked on and road worthy, and the church is willing to give me $400 (the reimbursement for the truck the mechanic broke) as a down, and the rest is up to me.

Of course, I understand the need for up-front money for the sale, and I don’t mind helping a worthy cause. I even contribute to Wounded Warriors. But I will tell you what I find. I have decided not to go over $2000, because it will take me over a year to pay it back.

I just can’t pack those heavy groceries home, and ride the buses to doctor appointments. All of it stresses me out.

As soon as I got a firm answer from the church members, I began to look for something. There is a maintenance man here who has a ‘93 Isuzu Trooper that looks like ME! He wants $2300 for it, but is not in a hurry to sell. I’m sure if he had the cash, he would. He takes care of his vehicles, and I trust him, but we are not at the negotiation stage, yet.

So far, I’m just gathering data.
Wish me luck.

We have a guy on the NC board who is way into Isuzu Troopers, but I understand it’s getting harder to run one because the parts aren’t made any more. Look for something you can get the parts for!

Let us know what you find, and I’m sure I can help. Maybe Anoreth can help, too. She’s not contributing for the new church property, after all ;-).
