Indiana's 80% non-Hispanic white. Romney is reputedly getting 65% of the white vote nationally. If he's getting that in Indiana, that's 52% right there.

It's actually a relatively low percentage of the white vote. In southern states, the GOP routinely gets over 70% of the white vote, which makes up for the fact that southern states have more blacks a % of their populations, who, as in the rest of the country, vote 9 to 1 for the Dems, due to their support for freebies and legally-mandated racial preferences.

There are a lot of other states with high percentages of NH whites. It is going to be VERY DIFFICULT for President Obama to put together a winning set of states if he doesn’t do something about the white vote, and very quickly. States that are discounted from the start, like MI, MN, and WI come into play...I smell a landslide too.

I’ve never seen a poll giving Romney 65% of the white vote nationally. That sounds way too high. The last one I saw was 56-35 in favor of Romney with white voters.

I think if Romney were getting 65% of the white vote nationally, he’d be up in the national polls. Immigration-driven demographic shifts will probably doom the GOP (proof that they are the stupid party for allowing decades of obviously pro-Democrat mass immigration), but right now 65% of the white vote would very likely bring Romney a solid, decisive victory.
