This makes me so sad for him, his wife, his family. To have received Jesus, and through his ‘research’, forsake him — heartbreaking. How many people are lost because of their reliance on their wee little brains?

I will never understand how people can assume that we can understand God — the Creator of all things, things we are just discovering, things that we still have no idea how they work — but we can understand Him, and decide that He doesn’t exist because He does not make sense when we ‘investigate’ and ‘research’ Him.

This is admittedly anecdotal, but from my experience, all the atheists/pagans/ex-Christians I’ve ever met never left Christ because of ‘research.’ They never left Jesus because they were convinced by scientific proof or even historical proof.

They turned away from Christ because they loved their sins far too much and wanted to start/keep sinning.

And over nine times out of ten, it was because they wanted to have sex with whoever they wanted whenever they wanted.

As I said before, this is just anecdotal evidence, but from the dozens of ‘ex-Christians’ I know, it was completely and utterly about sex for 95% of them.

Sad.
