I couldn’t agree more, although it is going to be difficult. Contributions to Straus this election cycle totaled $3.4 million for a $600 per month job. This much money gives him tremendous power. But getting him out of the position is possible if his supporters keep getting defeated.

Matt Beebe challenged Straus in the primary for Texas Representative. Beebe was a great candidate getting a respectable 37% of the vote with only $239 thousand in campaign contributions. It took courage to take one of the most powerful politician in Texas.

We need to hound our reps into supporting a conservative for Speaker.

Also, I felt back in 2007 that the GOP in the US House should have voted with about 30 blue dogs to make someone like Dan Boren Speaker to prevent Pelosi.

Our team plays by a whole different set of rules though.
