When I contemplate the swiftness and finality of judgment about the former CFO and 'adjunct professor', I have to say that it is a fearsome and sobering thing.
Consider this my FRiends (no, I'm not trying to sound like John McLame), many if not all of us were raised in an age where this sort of mass online uprising was all but impossible, let alone even imagined except in the realm of science fiction.
The only way that joker could have ended up fired in say, 1970 would be if somehow a TV news crew had been at the Chick-fil-A and set up for some other purpose and recorded the events AND if it had 'gone national' to the big networks. The odds are that nobody, I mean NOBODY would have ever heard of it.
To paraphrase Samuel Morse in 1844, "What Hath DARPA Wrought?"

The odds are that nobody, I mean NOBODY would have ever heard of it. But you have to remember, he did it to himself 100%. He was the one who brought the camera, he was the one who posted the video on line. Yes, the technology in the 1970s would have been expensive, and there would be nowhere to post it,l but I think if he was a hot head in the 1970s, he still could have found a 1970s way to embarrass himself and get himself fired.
