Laurie Blum of Fond du Lac worked as a nurse at Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution, in Sheboygan County. She was convicted last year of second-degree sexual assault after admitting having sex with an inmate in the prison's health services unit about six different times.

Not guilty. In the real world she’s probably very attractive. Still, we can’t have inmates thinking they’ll be hooking up with hot nurses in prison.

About typical for the Fond du Lac area. Nice better than plain looks, likes beer and brats, loyal Packer Fan, can put on snow chains and knows how to jump start a car and goes walleye fishing once in awhile.

Makes me wonder if the prisoner was charged for anything other than the ride.

The inmate is suing the nurse and the state prison.

But maybe she was just trying to help the patient feel better. That is a nurse’s job. So, what we need to know, is did the patient’s condition improve, or did he die from the treatment. Surely that has some bearing in the case.
