ahhhh, losing....
It looks promising but the big cities haven’t posted returns yet. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
I'm heartened by these numbers, especially after all the pro- ads on TV.
How loose ;)
As a GA freeper I hope this thing burns.. People don’t understand that we already have over 35 taxes in this part of GA alone.. This would solve NOTHING and was being sold as something it most definitely wasn’t. Hopefully the idiots don’t outnumber the good guys yet...
I have seen dozens of expensive billboards and have gotten countless expensive glossy mailers promoting the fiasco.
What do these people stand to gain who are investing so much money in those ads?
I hope they lose their shirts tonight.
That's because they know they'll be taxed and the transportation features (roads, rails, water, whatever) will go somewhere else!
This happened repeatedly in Virginia when Democrat governors tried to stuff special sales taxes down everybody's throat ~ just couldn't get past a referendum.
It's the construction industry that's spending the money on this campaign.
I hope this is a referendum for November and we toss out a lot more bums.
With all the money they have been spending on TV ads, radio ads, people appearing on talk shows and billboards to PASS this tax, they could’ve BUILT ANOTHER 285!!!!
Maybe (I pray) some pockets won’t be lined, after all.
One of the local tv stations has asked where the money came from that has been used to advertise nonstop this boondoggle. They were told it was by private money but have yet to issue proof.
Not long ago, Georgia commandeered the HOV lanes from the taxpayers and started renting them back to taxpayers each and every time a driver wants to use the lane. Learn to manage OUR money better before you come begging for more and learn to live within OUR means.
I miss voting in GA. Voting in CA is a traumatic experience.
*Sigh*
Lucky for you that you caught it when you did. I was going ahhhh, losing....to have to report you to the Grammar Police.
Things are looking good so far in Metro Atlanta. What part of Taxed Enough Already do they not get? I hope the "HELL NO" votes remain above 70% when the count is finished.
Please disregard my own faux pas of HTML malfeasance in my last post. Loose away.
I’m in SW Ga. I’m glad its going down in flames. This will send a message to our legislators. No more taxes. Cut the spending.
It looks like the voters in three of the twelve districts decided they were not already paying enough taxes.
I am so glad we left CA last year and get to vote in TN this year.
I went back and looked at it closer. You are right. poor, pathetic little want to be dominated people
I just voted against it. Enough spending our money!
As a Houston County resident, we realized we would be nothing more than a feeder county for all the little counties with no tax base that would go in. Not to mention most of the plans did not involve Houston County roads.
