The thing that this lesbian mother doesn’t understand is that there are plenty of people that will support these B&B owners against someone trying to ruin their business.

We went to Chick-Fil-A last night and were behind a couple explaining to the manager that they’d never tried the restaurant before but due to the owner’s stance and the resulting firestorm from the LGBT community, made a special trip to try it.

After we were served, we sat by someone that was discussing his choice of Chick-Fil-A in much the same terms. He was explaining to his son that while they couldn’t go there on 8/1, they were there now supporting the restaurant the best they could.

I wonder if maybe the tide is slowly turning in this country and conservatives, church-goers and people with plain ole good American values are finally fed up? I sincerely hope so!

If my own experiences and conversationas recently are any indication - the answer to your question is YES.

Come November, the silent majority will again vote down gay marriage. So far its 0/31 on state referendums. They only make inroads through legislation from the bench (and corrupt state reps), but that can be overturned.

The tide is turning because many of us have realized, with the choice of Romney, that we no longer have anyone to support our views. If we want to keep them, we have to stand up for them. Neither Party will do so.

Still, pulling a quote from Ben Franklin and attributing it to the Bible, as well as the AIDs reference do nothing to help the cause. They will be treated as ignorant and hateful. A kind response could have educated much better.

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger
