WELL DONE, MITT! As Governor Of Mass, Romney Banned The Assault Weapon Used In The Colorado Massacre

In 2004, as Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney banned the sale of assault weapons like the one used to spray 50-60 bullets a minute in the Colorado massacre.
On FOX News, Romney explained his position as follows:
"I believe the people should have the right to bear arms, but I dont believe that we have to have assault weapons as part of our personal arsenal."
That seems like a perfectly reasonable position, no?
(Seriously: Do we really need to be able to buy and own these things? Is that really in the best interests of our society? Really?)
Unfortunately, in the intervening years, Romney has flip-flopped and now supports the sale of assault weapons like the one used in the Colorado massacre.
But the families of those who were shot and killed in the theater can presumably take some comfort from the fact that Romney was against these guns before he was for them.

Henry Blodget? Is he even allowed to buy a gun himself?
* "Henry Blodget (born 1966) is an American former equity research analyst, currently banned from the securities industry, who was senior Internet analyst for CIBC Oppenheimer during the dot-com bubble and the head of the global Internet research team at Merrill Lynch. Blodget is now the editor and CEO of The Business Insider, a business news and analysis site, and a host of Yahoo Daily Ticker, a finance show on Yahoo."
"In 2002, then New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, published Merrill Lynch e-mails in which Blodget gave assessments about stocks which conflicted with what was publicly published. In 2003, he was charged with civil securities fraud by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He agreed to a permanent ban from the securities industry and paid a $2 million fine plus a $2 million disgorgement."
I'm not sure I'd rely on Blodget's opinion about much of anything, including the weather outside, unless I saw it for myself.

As for me (Jim will I'm sure speak for himself), I'm with Alexander Hamiltion, you remember him, he was one of our founders who laid it all on the line to form this country:
"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton
I'll either be writing in Sarah Palin or voting for Virgil Good or Tom Hoefling (sp?), I haven't made up my mind yet.

His opinion isn't what is important here; his correctly brining Mitt Romney's own history of banning guns is.

We are going to have failures like Romney in this war to reclaim our country. We have to endure and try harder the next time to get a truly liberty loving candidate.
You're not going to reclamin anything with Mitt Romney. You're just going to keep moving things to the left in the direction of more government control and the continual reduction of our individual rights, liberties and freedoms.

Bad comparison, George H. Bush is ten times better than Mitt Romney is. GHB was just a moderate. Mitt Romney is a lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal:

On another subject. Have you ever heard Rush say that Mitt told him personally he does not intend to go down as failing this country. Historically even with only one term he wants to gut the government at every level except military and where deemed constitutional.
Yes and Mitt Romney's record supports this statement how?
And you believe the words of the man who stated in January 2012 at CPAC:
1. "I was a severely conservative Governer of MA"
2. "I was always Pro-Life"

I dont give a crap what Romney would do,I do.
If you're looking for a solid alternative to Romney, you might want to check out Tom Hoefling.

I am not sure what exactly that means but I will assume that it is an unpleasant epithet.
I will ask you again as others have to provide an achievable alternative to supporting Romney that does not sacrifice this country to four more years of the so called leadership of BHO.
With four more years of BHO we have embedded socialized health care, a lingering recession or worse, non-existent border control and defacto one man rule government.
As with every election post Reagan we have the choice of the lesser of two evils. I will reluctantly choose Romney because he is the lesser evil and there is no viable third choice.
