The Talk Shows
July 29th, 2012
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Pre-empted by the Olympics.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day OConnor; Penn State President Rodney Erickson; Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney; Robert Gibbs, adviser to President Barack Obamas re-election campaign; Kevin Madden, adviser to Romneys presidential campaign.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Sens. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H.
Follow-up question; with benefits, vacations, retirement, etc., what is the equivalent compensation for a community organizer on a government payroll? Especially one who gets his wife a job with a local company who need a state senator in their pocket? Let's remember that the Chicago definition of an honest politician is a politician who stays bought.
If Obama wins the election, there will no job growth until 2018. And no job growth means no housing market recovery, no more middle class (Middle class is just as much an outlook on life as an income level).
Meanwhile Gibbs and Kevin Madden are going at it with faux moderator Matthew Dowd. Madden gets off some good comments like people won't vote for what we have had for the past 3 1/2 years. Then dowd tried to condemn Romney for his olympic comments saying he is not prepared for potus just so sad. ,p> On Israel Madden made reference to Romney going to Israel 4 times and the best Gibbs could do is to say that the Iron door policy(Israel has the ability to repel rockets, regime actually gave 70 million to Israel while Romney was visiting they are so desperate) is all due to zero being there 4 years ago "before" he was potus. No rebuttal from madden. All in all a rather lackluster interview where any time they got near a true issue that could hurt the regime it was time to move on. Same thing in the panel.Always a cover for the regime.
ABC may be worse than NBC. They are definitely in competition to see who can service the dear leader more.
They've been trying to destroy the Catholic Church for a long time. First it was the queers, infiltrating the priesthood and molesting the alterboys, that's been going on for decades...or longer.
Then there's "social justice"....communism by another name.
My only real criticism of actual Catholicism, is they should let the priest get married. At least you'd have a pretty good idea what you have for a priest.
I don't think there's any real actual Christian prohibition to it or protestant factions would have it too.
I do and because of my age have to go 110% all the time regardless of who is in charge. That being said I am one of the few of my industry that has not moved most production offshore.I still refuse to do so,so far.
Just finished watching Justice Scalia on FNS. TomGuy and others were correct, Scalia ran circles around Wallace. Wallace wasted the time he had trying to get gotcha questions instead of covering the new Scalia Book, Reading Law. Learning more about what’s in the book would have been a much better segment.
Sorry so slow, just caught up, and I was watching the ‘FACE THE NATION (CBS) channel’, not ABC(it probably doesn’t matter). I didn’t realize both channels where running an interview and I didn’t catch who was doing the CBS interview, there was a middle east back ground, so I guess it was in Israel. I finally got cable and can watch the shows.
The class warfare argument coined obviously by the bent axel is slick in design.
To begin with they make an argument that its foolish to give rich guys a tax cut since they already have a lot of money. They try and make an argument that the middle class will be paying for the rich guys tax cut. Trouble is the middle class doesn't pay the bulk of taxes the rich guys do!!
What they leave out is that small business people are 80% of the supposed rich with incomes of 250k or over and represent also 80% of new job growth.
So,what the regime is really doing is sabotaging private business, capitalist jobs in favor of make work infrastructure jobs where money has to be printed in order to hire.
Result, instead of building an economy through small businesses/private enterprise, the regime tears down the economy even more by borrowing more money we don't have to do infrastructure jobs that take years to design. Meanwhile the economy tanks even more.
Everything they do is designed to pump up big govt. and destroy the forces of capitalism.
Its all the same old sh_t all over again. Just build up govt. and tear down capitalists, business. They never change.
I'd hand him some De Tocqueville quotes and tell him to get with the program and drop the communism crap. (political my @$$)
Alexis de Tocqueville on Americans and Churches
"Not until I went into the churches in America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power."
"America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great."
"...the religious aspect of the country was the first thing that struck my attention....I do not know whether all Americans have a sincere faith in their religion - for who can search the human heart? But I am cerain they hold it to be indispensable to the maintenance of republican institutions."
"In the United States the sovereign authority is religious, and consequently hypocrisy must be common; but there is no country in the world where the Christian religion retains a greater influence over the souls of men than in America; and there can be no greater proof of its utility...than that its influence is powerfully felt over the most enlightened and free nation on earth."

Of course they're looking for votes, and they'd represent the Catholic conservative positions. The RAT, so-called "catholic" politicians have stolen the Catholic vote and are betraying the parishioners by supporting "gay rights" and baby-killing legislation etc...(as if I had to tell you that)
True and that “rich” category has to do with the tax code and who they say is “rich” regardless of whether the money is actually paid to the small business owner or not. Many of us take out only enough to get by so we can plow everything back into the business. That makes us rich, hardly.
The market turned quickly after Reagan was elected as well as when GWB was elected from the election on, if my memory serves. The market also started tanking a lot faster when 0bama was elected.
With a Republican President and congress the chances of getting us back on track improves drastically. Although I do hope the new congress dumps both McConnell and Bohener. I’d like to see more tea party associated representatives get into leadership positions.
I’m not surprised. Wall ass is a little leaguer and IMHO is only at FNC to apply for a job with the drivebys.
I'd start right at NFIB.com, or Chamber of Commerce sites.
Marco is fast on his feet erudite, brilliant, charismatic and if he is VP we can't lose.
What a topsy-turvy, bizarro world we live in, where the TRUTH is considered a gaffe, and as bray so brilliantly points out in his essay this morning, America elected a "pig in a poke" in 2008. Fortunately for us, the pig occasionally gets out of his poke, and speaks off-prompter, revealing his real beliefs. And equally fortunate for us, there is a big election coming up in a few months.
To go one more step, if Democrats control anything, including 40 Senate Seats for a filibuster, there will be an economic freeze by next summer, and that “liquidity trap” the Democrat(first) Keynesian Economist
(think Christina Romer, Paul Krugman, Jared Bernstein, Tim Geithner, Larry Summers, Mark Zandi, Alan Blinder, Bob Kuttner, Heather Boushey, Bill Hambrecht, Allen Sinai),
are so worried about, are just what resulted in what they supported in the Democrat economic policies they promoted.
Maybe I've become so accustomed to screening that crap out on sight that I don't notice it, but I've also (in the interest of sticking one in Google's ear) found alternate search engines that don't seem nearly as agenda driven.
My current pet is Ixquick https://www.ixquick.com/eng/download-ixquick-plugin.html, which has the added benefit (at least to me) of not allowing the search engine OR the sites you open record your search. Nice little privacy thing that Google violates at every opportunity.
